RFP Amendments (SF30)

SF30 Amendment
Amendments generally add new requirements, change requirements, clarify discrepancies in the solicitation, or delete something before the proposal’s due date. The contracting officer must furnish an SF30 for each modification. Make it a practice of checking the procurement website daily for new amendments. Some procurements, by nature, are very confusing. Depending on the situation in the contracting shop, there may be an unusually high number of amendments due to careless mistakes in the Government’s RFP documentation. Be sure to incorporate each amendment into your master RFP for both hard copy and soft copy. Don’t delete the old versions, simply mark them as obsolete.

SUBMISSION ACTION

When submitting the final proposal, the offerer acknowledges each amendment by filling in Block 14 of the SF33 form. Additionally, the offeror must acknowledge receipt of each amendment by completing blocks 8 and 15 on the SF30. Signed SF33 and SF30 forms are submitted with the proposal – usually included with the Contract/Price or Cost volume, but check your RFP for specific instructions.

Sometimes, the RFP will require a separate letter to confirm receipt of the amendments that directs the offer to include the solicitation number, amendment number and date, as well as your company’s name, address, and phone number. Again, review your RFP for specific instructions.

WARNING

If the offeror does not acknowledge or sign the amendment(s), its bid may be disqualified as nonresponsive.
